Director of Children’s Ministry (full-time)

Roswell United Methodist Church is seeking our next Director of Children’s Ministry, who will provide overall vision, operational management, and ministry oversight to RUMC’s Children’s Ministry (birth–5th grade) and their families. In addition to leading department staff, the Director recruits, equips, and empowers ministry volunteers to share God’s love, teach scripture, and build lasting faith foundations for young children.

Director of Communications (full-time)

Roswell United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Communications to lead, direct, and support a team of technical and creative staff (print, web, and digital) in the execution of internal and external communications and promotional material for RUMC. Requirements include:

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related field.
-5 or more years of progressively responsible experiences in communications management.
-Results-oriented, skilled communicator. Excellent verbal and written English skills, with command of style and usage. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly. Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multi-generational, diverse setting, using advanced listening, collaborative, and facilitation skills with non-technical guests, staff, and laity.
-Successful management and leadership experience. Ability to plan, organize, and lead staff and volunteers in a deadline-intensive environment. Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and to make quick, quality decisions. Ability to demonstrate servant leadership.
-Flexibility and availability for events and on-call support.

Childcare Assistant (part-time)

Roswell UMC is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Childcare Assistant to become an integral part of its Children's Ministry team.

An ideal candidate will show genuine interest in caring for and engaging with children, have an outgoing and friendly personality, be motivated to interact with children and co-workers, and should exemplify Christian character in their life and in their work.

This position reports to the Childcare Coordinator and Director of Children's Ministry. Hours are up to 10 hours per week on Sundays, 8:30a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m.; and other major ministry events as needed. Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift and carry 20 pounds.

Missions Specialist (part-time)

-Management of the overall RUMC Missions program and provide leadership and resources for all church events that engage in missions (age level ministries, Sunday School classes, VBS, worship services, etc.).

-Facilitate mission education and training events within RUMC to equip the laity to serve both locally and beyond.

-Develop sustainable relationships with our mission partners and communicate/connect their stories to and with the congregation.
