Laura Minch McLain, PsyD, BC-TMH
Dr. Laura Minch McLain is a licensed psychologist in Georgia who is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA). She has worked in a variety of settings and with several populations including children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and developmental disabilities, emerging adults, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and identity issues, addictions, and relationship issues. Currently, Dr. Minch McLain oversees the clinical program at the Renfrew Center of Georgia working with individuals with eating disorders.
Dr. Minch McLain is the owner of Resilient Living Counseling Center, which strives to help individuals work through the stressors of everyday life. Her specialties include eating disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. She uses her expertise with the strengths of her clients to identify ways to manage life’s challenges and achieve their goals. Dr. Minch McLain is also passionate about helping couples improve their relationships. She believes knowledge is the first step in building resilience.
In addition to counseling, Dr. Minch McLain enjoys providing clinical supervision to psychology students and teaching. She has given several workshops and CEUs throughout her career about eating disorders, substance use disorders, female bullying, and identifying early warning signs for mental health issues to teachers, parents, and professionals.
Dr. Minch McLain enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She loves to explore new places and learn about new cultures through travel.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled by contacting a therapist directly. Most clients can be seen within 48 hrs of an appointment request.
What is the cost?
Our therapists are independent contractors and set their individual rates and terms. This would be discussed during your initial phone consultation.
What are your office hours?
Each therapist sets their own schedule. Most can accommodate those with scheduling challenges and provide evening and/or weekend hours.
Do you take insurance?
Please reach out to an individual practitioner for details on payment and insurance.
Are the therapists employed by RUMC?
Each therapist is an independent contractor. They maintain individual practices that are located in the Counseling Center - Building "C". The building is owned by RUMC and located on the RUMC campus.
