Board Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Niclaire Neely, MD
Dr. Niclaire Neely is a board-certified psychiatrist and a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association (GPPA).
She graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. After college and before entering medical school, she worked for nearly 10 years, including spending 5 years teaching in public schools. She became interested in medicine while volunteering as an interpreter in a free clinic.
After completing the required pre-medicine courses, she left teaching to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Neely graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
As a board-certified psychiatrist, she is trained in medication management and enjoys treating all aspects of mental health. She uses her skills she learned as a teacher to help educate and work with patients and families on mental health and all aspects of treatment. Because of her interest in educating people on mental health, she has spoken on mental health topics and the role of women in medicine in workshops and on the local news.
Dr. Neely enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled by contacting a therapist directly. Most clients can be seen within 48 hrs of an appointment request.
What is the cost?
Our therapists are independent contractors and set their individual rates and terms. This would be discussed during your initial phone consultation.
What are your office hours?
Each therapist sets their own schedule. Most can accommodate those with scheduling challenges and provide evening and/or weekend hours.
Do you take insurance?
Please reach out to an individual practitioner for details on payment and insurance.
Are the therapists employed by RUMC?
Each therapist is an independent contractor. They maintain individual practices that are located in the Counseling Center - Building "C". The building is owned by RUMC and located on the RUMC campus.
