Ireshia Smith, LPC, LMHC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. She is also the founder of Reconnected Counseling: Experiencing Routes to Higher Ground, where she creates a safe, supportive space for clients to reconnect with their inner strength, explore their stories, and move toward healing with confidence and compassion.
With over nine years of experience in behavioral health, Ireshia has worked in outpatient clinics, hospitals, crisis settings, and corporate wellness spaces. Her diverse background includes leadership roles, high-risk assessments, and community-based support, all of which have deepened her understanding of how to meet people right where they are. She specializes in working with teens (13+), young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, life transition, low self-worth, or the constant pressure to hold it all together.
Many of the clients who find their way to Ireshia are high-achievers who feel like they’re constantly juggling too much while never feeling like they’re “enough.” If you’re feeling the weight of perfectionism, burnout, or self-doubt, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to carry it by yourself.
Therapy with Ireshia is collaborative, grounded, and tailored to your unique needs. Her approach draws from Solution-Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Sessions often weave in mindfulness, visualization, expressive arts, or even nature-inspired practices—especially when words aren't quite enough. Her style is warm and down-to-earth, offering support that feels genuine, not scripted. Whether you’re working through anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, or big life transitions, her goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered at a pace that feels right for you.
She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. When she’s not in session, you’ll likely find her traveling, enjoying the outdoors, or getting creative through art and expression. Ireshia is honored to walk alongside each of her clients as they reach for their own version of higher ground.
