The Bible can be overwhelming. There are so many books it is often hard to figure out where to begin. Where does my story fit into the larger story of Scripture? Who do I find myself relating to in both the Old and the New Testaments? Pastor Derek invites you to learn the answers to these questions in Disciple Bible Study this Fall. Through this in-depth small group journey, we lean into the Word of God, gather weekly, pray, and grow. Forming rhythms together that will ground us in an overwhelming world. Join us for a seven-week Bible study designed to help you read and understand Scripture more deeply. Listening to Scripture: Strategies for Interpreting the Bible will explore practical tools and approaches for faithful biblical interpretation, helping participants engage God's Word with greater confidence and insight. Join us for Part 1 (7 weeks) of a 2-part Bible study series designed to help you organize the people, events, and themes of the Old Testament. The Epic of Eden will help participants learn key facts with a clear timeline connecting events and people, discover details and fresh views enhancing one's understanding of Scripture and appreciating how the Old Testament connects to the New Testament. Study: Deborah: Unlikely Heroes and the Book of Judges (The Epic of Eden Series) by Sandra Richter
Sandra Richter, while a distinguished university professor, knows how to present biblical history with passion, simplicity, and a commitment to use it for Christian growth. This study features Deborah, called a “Mother in Israel,” who was called to serve her country during a chaotic and morally dark time for Israel. She uses the study to help us answer the same questions Deborah had to answer:
What territory do you see that belongs to the Kingdom of God but not yet in the hands of His people?
Is it worth fighting for?
Are you willing to step out in faith and trust for the victory?

Study: Bad Boys of the Bible
Barbara Essex reveals a side of the Bad Boys of the Bible not usually reflected upon or even considered in most preaching and teaching. Adam, Cain, Abraham, Lot, Jacob, Jephthah, and Samson are well-known men of the Bible who were strong and faithful, yet also weak and challenged. In Bad Boys of the Bible: Exploring Men of Questionable Virtue, Essex takes readers on a journey to explore these male giants of faith. Bad Boys of the Bible includes seven Bible study units, reflection questions, suggestions for using this resource in preaching and teaching, and a bibliography for further study. BetterMan is a 9-week group study on the essentials of biblical manhood. Over 9 weeks, men will gain a clear definition of biblical masculinity and activate the true and timeless masculinity God designed from the beginning in Genesis. Having a clear vision of manhood changes everything - our work, family, friends, marriages, and relationship with God.
