Charis Gallery “Sea and Sky” Art Entry
It is almost overwhelming to contemplate the sea and the sky – the vastness, the magic and the mystery, the power and yet the peace. Vast galaxies stretch beyond our comprehension as do the bodies of water that cover the earth. From the winds to the waves, from the constellations to the coral, from the birds to the fish, we cannot help but be moved by all that God has created in the heavens and in the water.
He… said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” Mark 4:39
Then the Lord spoke, “…Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens…?” Job 38:37
The Lord… determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Psalm 147:4
Many see incredible beauty in sunrises and sunsets, rainbows and shooting stars. Many find peace on boats and on the beach with a fishing rod or a paddle. Many enjoy the thrill of space exploration via rockets and satellites. “From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans white with foam…,” no one is untouched by the offerings of the sea and the sky.
These God-given bodies touch each of us differently. How do you express through your art your personal relationship with the sea or the sky? You are invited to convey through your art what “Sea and Sky” means to you by submitting your work for the next 2023 exhibit in the Charis Gallery.
We look forward to seeing your interpretation of Sea and Sky.
