Planning Ahead
MUST Neighborhood Pantry: We will serve our neighborhood on Monday, October 5. This ministry provides food to 250 families every month. Volunteers are needed. For more information, contact Scotty Brewington at scotty@marketjet.com.
GriefShare - Loss of a Spouse: Widowed? Help is here and hope is possible. Discover practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse and reasons for hope. This program will be offered at RUMC twice during October. For dates/times and to register, visit rumc.com/support.
Fall Frenzy: Join us and bring your friends on Wednesday, October 14, starting at 5 p.m. on The Commons for an evening of family fun! We’ll have inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, and games! Food will be available for purchase. We hope to see you there! To volunteer, visit rumc.com/serve.
The Dementia Caregivers’ Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, in the Dining Room, Chapel building. Pre-registration is not required. GriefShare - Surviving the Holidays: The holiday season can be especially painful when you are grieving a loved one’s death. Program participants will discover how to deal with emotions, what to do about traditions, helpful tips for surviving social events, and how to find hope for the future. Drake House: Be part of a meaningful ministry to the Drake House! On the second Monday of each month, RUMC volunteers pick up prepared, individually packed meals from the church kitchen and deliver them to the Drake House. For more information, go to rumc.com/serve.
The Young Apprentice Construction Club is looking for volunteers to help encourage and mentor young people as they learn valuable construction skills and make a difference in our community.
