RUMC has a long history of excellence in children’s music. At the core of our ministry is a belief that the arts are an important part of every child’s life, as well as an important part of the life of the church. In WOW, our children learn the fundamentals of beautiful singing, basic musicianship, and how to worship God by offering their gifts and talents. They learn to play Orff instruments, handbells, handchimes, ukuleles, drums and a variety of percussion instruments. They experience the dramatic and visual arts as expressions of their faith and creativity. They make friends and build relationships with adult leaders that enrich their spiritual growth in God’s church. The children also learn that, through the arts, even the youngest of God’s children can lead in worship and share the gifts which He has given them. All children are welcome in the WOW Children’s worship arts program, and we hope you will join us soon!
RUMC WOW Children’s programming offers worship arts opportunities for infants, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Questions? Talk to Lisa Stover at 770-261-1709 or email Lisa at email@example.com.

The W.A.Y. (Worship Arts Youth)Middle Schoolers: Meet on Sundays, 4:30-5:50 p.m. in the Dod (youth building) to be in our middle school worship arts group, The W.A.Y. We do a combination of singing, playing instruments (including paint cans, brooms, etc.), technology, and drama (comedy mostly) and fold all these into two big productions a year.
OUTLOUDHigh Schoolers: Meet on Sundays, 4:30-5:50 p.m. in the Dod (youth building) to be in our high school worship arts group, OUTLOUD. This vocal group performs regularly in the worship services as well as community venues. They have gained a reputation of excellence and are frequently asked to perform for special events. OUTLOUD also functions like a “small group” with prayers for one another and a bond of deep faith.
MusikgartenThe RUMC Children’s Worship Arts team is excited to offer baby and toddler music classes. This ministry is designed to provide dedicated time each week to have fun making music while bonding with your child. We use a joyful, playful, and carefully sequenced method which gives your children the skills they need to learn any instrument and develop a lifelong love of music. But most of all, kids and babies love music. It makes them smile, laugh, sing and move, which is contagious! Come make music with us and see just how much fun it can be.
