Vacation Bible School – “Saddle Up: Joseph’s Wild Ride of Faith”

  • June 17-20, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Four-year-olds (as of 9/1/19) through rising fifth graders
  • Mini VBS (3 years old) and nursery are provided for children of week-long volunteers.
  • Cost: $15 per child
  • Saddle up for VBS as we learn about Joseph’s wild ride of faith through stations of Large group assembly, Bible connection, Crafts, Recreation, Missions, and Snack.
  • Registration opens on March 10 and remains open until full or until May 17

Mission Camp

  • July 15-18, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Rising first through fifth grade
  • Cost: $25 per child
  • This is a time for older kids to develop a servant hear and make a real impact in our community. There will be on-campus and off-campus projects.
  • Registration opens on March 10 and remains open until full or until May 17

March 24: 45 Zone, 2 – 6 p.m.

We invite fourth and fifth graders to join us for a time of fun and fellowship on Sunday, March 24 from 2 – 6 p.m. We’re going to Hot Wheels Skate Center in Woodstock. The cost is $15 which includes admission, skates, soft drink, and game play. Please bring cash or check to the event. Check-in and Check-out are in Room 165/167 in the Sanctuary building.

Register by Wednesday, March 20th.

March 30: Explore Social, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Children in preschool (3 & 4) and kindergarten, along with their families, are invited to join us for inflatables, pizza, and fun on Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, Chapel building.

Registration is not required.

April 14: Lenten Family Adventure: A Walk Through Holy Week

We invite families to join us on Palm Sunday, April 14, for Lenten Family Adventure: A Walk Through Holy Week.

As a family, you will be able to take a walk through Holy Week as we explore Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter at four interactive stations. Explore the events leading up to the resurrection of Jesus. Hear the stories, interact with live doves, taste food from the Passover meal, and take home reminders of why we celebrate this special season. 

Register to come at 4, 4:30, or 5, p.m. by April 10. As a group, you will walk through the four stations in chronological order together starting promptly at your registered time. It will be around an hour experience. You will start in the Fellowship Hall in the Chapel building.

April 20, Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Please join us for the Annual RUMC Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. We’ll have inflatables, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, face painting, games, and door prizes.

Timeline of egg hunts for various age groups:

  • Infants – 3 years old: Traditional hunt at 10:15 a.m. on the front lawn of the Gardens of Great Oaks (event facility next door)
  • 4 years old – kindergarten: Traditional hunt at 10:45 a.m. on the front lawn of the Gardens of Great Oaks (event facility next door)
  • 1st – 3rd grade: Traditional hunt at 10:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the Chapel
  • 4th – 5th grade: Glow-in-the-dark hunt at 10:15 a.m. in the Roswell Kids Rotunda (check-in area in the Chapel building)

Candy Donation:

We will be collecting candy from March 31st-April 14th for our upcoming Easter Egg Hunt. Collection bins will be around campus in the Roswell Kids’ check in areas, in the Sanctuary lobby, and near the church office. Please bring only individual packages of fruit snacks, individual m&m’s, starbursts, and lollipops.

Volunteers:

We need volunteers to help our Easter Egg Hunt run smoothly on Saturday, April 20th.  If you are available to help prepare goody bags the week of, hide eggs the morning of, or man the inflatables, concessions, or information tables at the event, click here to sign up or contact Patrice Payment, ppayment@rumc.com.

April 26-27, 45 Zone Lock-in

On April 26 – 27, we will have a lock-in at the church for our fourth and fifth graders. They will experience worship, learn about Roswell Student Ministry, and fellowship together. More info to come!

– Parent Date Night – 

Parent Date Night is an opportunity for parents to enjoy an evening out while the Roswell Kids Nursery Staff care for your children. The cost is $10 per child. We ask that you pack a dinner for your child(ren) unless otherwise indicated.

  • Friday, June 7, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Registration opens on May 13 at noon
  • Saturday, July 20, 4 – 8 p.m. – Registration opens on June 24 at noon
  • Friday, September 19, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Registration opens on August 26 at noon
  • Friday, November 8, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Registration opens on October 14 at noon
  • Saturday, December 7, 4 – 8 p.m. – Registration opens on November 11 at noon

Explore Story Hours

  • Monday mornings during the summer: June 3, 10 , 24 & July 8, 22, 29; 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool – kindergarten
  • This is a time for preschool (3 & 4) – kindergarten families to join together in the Parlor for a snack, story, and craft.
  • This event is free and registration is not needed.
