“If prayer stands as the place where God and human beings meet, then I must learn about prayer. Most of my struggles in the Christian life circle around the same two themes: why God doesn’t act the way we want God to, and why I don’t act the way God wants me to. Prayer is the precise point where those themes converge. – Philip Yancey

Scripture calls us to “Be still.” It is here in God’s presence that we gain peace and understanding.

Be still and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

Be still before the LORD, and wait patiently for him… Psalm 37:7

The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. Exodus 14:14

We invite you to our campus to use two specific resources to guide you to “Be Still” and open your heart to God’s faithful presence in your life:

  1. Prayer Walk. Come take a prayer walk around the Roswell United Methodist Church campus area. Print a map HERE or pick up a copy in the Welcome Center in the A Building or in the Church Office in the B Building. The full course covers 1 Mile. There are 10 stations that provide an opportunity to spend time in prayer and enjoy the beautiful scenery. For those not able to join us on our campus, you may find the prayer stations HERE to use in your own home or on-the-go.
  2. Prayer Room. “As often as possible Jesus withdrew to out-of-the-way places for prayer.” Luke 5:16. We encourage you, too, to slip into our Prayer Room for a time alone in prayer. The Prayer Room is located on the lower level of the B Building and is accessible on the south side of the building by ramp or by steps.

We are happy to pray with you. If you have a specific prayer request, please click HERE.
