RUMC joined a network of 12 other churches and synagogues to house homeless families (up to 14 people) in our church 4 weeks of the year. Hosts, meal providers, set-up and tear-down, and donations will be needed as we minister to these guests.

Beginning on Dec. 23, we welcomed Fountain of Love UMC to the RUMC campus. Previously located in Sandy Springs, we are delighted to welcome Pastor Jorge Henao and his wife Luz Cano as leaders of the congregation. Drivers needed to pick-up food from area businesses to delivery to NFCC. Times and locations vary.

HomeStretch
Volunteers needed as family and budget mentors to work with families as they journey toward self reliance and stability. HomeStretch serves homeless families by providing housing, case management, Life Skills classes and mentoring.

HomeStretch Inspection Team
Conduct a monthly walk through of HomeStretch apartments as part of the program to guide families to stability. Volunteers would serve about an hour a month to be a housekeeping inspector - times are flexible. Teams of two are ideal - serve with a friend.

GED Tutors needed. No experience necessary. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
