Stephen Ministry Needs YOU! Even if you are not a Stephen Leader or a Stephen Minister, you play an important role in RUMC’s Stephen Ministry. Stephen Ministers need your prayerful support as they confidentially meet with their care receivers every week. Stephen Leaders need your help in identifying people who may benefit from a Stephen Ministry relationship. If you see a friend, coworker, neighbor, relative, or someone else who could use some extra Christian care, tell that person about our Stephen Ministry and get permission to refer him or her to a Stephen Leader. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister and would like information on a future Stephen Ministry training class, contact the SERVE Team, 770.261.1767.
Stephen Ministry is for people who want someone to care, to listen, to share God's love during or throughout confusing, stressful, or lonely times.
How to receive care from a Stephen Minister
Stephen Ministry helps meet the needs of individuals who are hospitalized, terminally ill, bereaved, in a job crisis, new members of the church, disabled, homebound, lonely, in a spiritual crisis, looking for a caring, Christian friend.
Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, to share God's love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing. Our Stephen Ministers are caring church members who offer one-to-one caring relationships for those who need.
