God encourages us to use our gifts in ministry and service. I believe God wants us to serve both in the church as well as in the community and through missions. Imagine what God could do through us if every member of RUMC knew his or her spiritual gifts, then used those gifts in building up the body of Christ. This booklet will help you identify some areas of ministry in which you may want to sample, engage, and model service, so that together, our church family will be about changing lives through mission and service. Please pray about where God wants you to serve, learn about that ministry, then volunteer to serve. If you’d like to learn more about discovering your spiritual gifts, please call the SERVE office at 770.261.1716. It’s also possible that in sampling various service opportunities, God may use these experiences to help you discover your spiritual gifts. Thank you for your willingness to serve.
