Private setting, access to all office amenities, private waiting room and break room. Crucial moments occur in everyone's life. These might be times of important decision, anxious concern, job stress, death and bereavement, family distress, phobias – the list is almost endless. We often turn to our family, friends, and spiritual resources to give us strength and support as we live through these difficulties. There are times, however, when another resource, a licensed professional, can help us find new understandings and new options. A ministry outreach of Roswell United Methodist Church, professional services are available to our church and community. Fees are established by the independent practitioners. What Professional Services Are Provided?
Gail W. Lyle, Ed.S., L.P.C. is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. She works with children, adolescents, college students, and adults. Gail counsels individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has completed Master’s work and has a Specialist Degree in Education/Counseling. She has also done graduate work in the area of Family Psychology. Besides private practice, her work experiences include residential adolescent treatment and outpatient adult treatment. She also conducts professional and community workshops on topics such as ethics, assessments, grief across the lifespan, marriage, and parenting. Another part of her practice experience includes supervision to other therapists. Gail's areas of speciality include: difficulties in personal life related to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other mental health concerns; dilemmas in pregnancy, parenting, and high school/college adjustment; marriage and relationship concerns; loss and grief; sexual addiction; and difficulties experienced in relationship to divorce, remarriage, and blended families. Gail is a member of the American Counseling Association and is an affiliate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also a healthcare provider on many insurance panels. 770.261.1782 Rev. Carol Rawlinson, D.Min., L.M.F.T. holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling. She has a wide range of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Carol is also a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the American Counseling Association. She is a United Methodist minister and a member of the South Carolina Conference. Carol's ministry has previously included pastoring local churches and serving as a hospital and a hospice chaplain. Among Carol’s special interests are grief therapy, women’s issues, grief associated with pet death, and post-traumatic stress syndrome. 770.261.1785
Rev. Mary G. Amos, Th.M., L.M.F.T. is a Pastoral Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has more than 25 years of experience counseling with individuals, couples, and families. Believing that our minds, bodies and spirits are interrelated, Mary takes a holistic approach to counseling as she listens to people tell their stories. As a Presbyterian minister, she is a member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. In addition to her work as a therapist, Mary enjoys walking, reading, and offering hospitality to her family and friends. She is married to Tony Amos and they have two grown sons and two young granddaughters.
