Lydia Johnson, LPC
Lydia Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and member of the LPCA of Georgia. She graduated from Georgia State University and began this stage of her career providing community-based counseling services in the Gwinnett County area and then serving as Clinical Director of Affinity Counseling Center. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings and worked with unique populations including emerging adults, their parents, individuals with disabilities, and individuals in the midst of life’s transitions.
Lydia founded Healing Space, LLC in 2017 and has created a boutique practice dedicated to providing a safe space for exploration, healing, and growth. Lydia utilizes a holistic approach to health and wellness to explore the impact of the past on your current life, sense of self, and relationships with others. Lydia also explores the impact of grief and loss and struggles associated with body image and self-love. Her goal is to help individuals feel empowered to find their voice and inspired to move forward, at their own pace, so that they can create the life that they have envisioned for themselves. Sessions with Lydia are individually tailored to support that journey.
Lydia provides a healing space through speaking, writing, laughing, and music for others as they move towards optimal emotional and mental health. Lydia is the mother of a lovely emerging adult and has the sweetest senior fur baby in the Dunwoody area.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled by contacting a therapist directly. Most clients can be seen within 48 hrs of an appointment request.
What is the cost?
Our therapists are independent contractors and set their individual rates and terms. This would be discussed during your initial phone consultation.
What are your office hours?
Each therapist sets their own schedule. Most can accommodate those with scheduling challenges and provide evening and/or weekend hours.
Do you take insurance?
Please reach out to an individual practitioner for details on payment and insurance.
Are the therapists employed by RUMC?
Each therapist is an independent contractor. They maintain individual practices that are located in the Counseling Center - Building "C". The building is owned by RUMC and located on the RUMC campus.
