RUMC Job Networking offers a unique service for job seekers – donated “interview-ready” professional attire for attendees.
From our “Attire To Hire” boutique closet, you can select clothing so that you are polished from head to toe, and ready for that most important face-to-face interview with the hiring manager. This is totally free to the job seeker.
“Attire to Hire” has served 2800+ job seekers since we started in 2011 thanks to the generosity of our donors.
How can you help?
Interview-ready attire is needed for RUMC Job Networking’s “Attire to Hire” Boutique Closet.
We are really low on men’s and women’s shoes and handbags. If you have any donations, please contact Karen Griggs at 770-261-1739 to make arrangements to drop off.
• Black dress pants, all sizes
• Women’s tops for an interview − solid color shells, blouses, or shirts that can be worn under business jackets
• Suits or business separates such as jackets, solid skirts and pants in any size, that are “up to date” in style.
• Gently used handbags, slim briefcases or computer bags, scarves, and close-toed dress shoes
MEN (All men’s clothing sizes must be clearly marked.)
• Suits or dark sport coats, especially navy blazers
• Dress shirts of all sizes
• Ties and men’s belts
• Dress shoes that are gently worn
Clothing must be current in style, cleaned or pressed, and clearly marked as to the size. We appreciate donations but ask that you keep in mind that all attire must be interview-ready. The majority of our clients do not have funds for dry cleaning.
Please do not drop off clothing at the church. We do not have the extra room to accept donations outside of Job Networking times or by appointment.
Donations: Contact Donna Litton, 678-358-8050 or firstname.lastname@example.org, to make arrangements or an appointment for delivery. You can also bring to the Job Networking meeting on the 2nd and 4th Monday’s, check website for current times – www.rumcjobnetworking.com. Again, please make an appointment for a donation and do not drop off donations at the church.
We will provide a tax donation form when you drop off your items. You cannot imagine how much our clients need and appreciate your assistance. Many of our job seekers have been out of the workplace for some time and they need our donations and guidance. Thank you for truly making a difference in our local community!
We want to thank the organizations below for their time and effort in putting together clothing drives for the Attire to Hire Closet. We appreciate all you do for the RUMC Job Networking Ministry!
