Ricky Steele is back for his 14th annual speaking engagement at RUMC Job Networking. This is a record for any speaker at RUMC! He is one of the few that can handle both the dinner speaking role as well as the evening keynote. You do not want to miss Ricky even if you have heard him before.

Ricky Steele is the ultimate Rainmaker. Steele has a long history of developing new business, expanding the brand, marketing, public relations, and community engagement for clients across many industries.

In March of 2016, Steele launched his tenth startup company, Steele Technology Partners, and has quickly grown the staff and revenue. In less than four months, STP has signed twelve Master Service Agreements and been featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Crain’s Atlanta and on numerous radio shows. Steele Technology Partners is passionate about their clients, their candidates, their community and each other. This makes them unique in the staffing industry.

Ricky is a published author with the release of his first book, The Heart of Networking, in September 2004, and The Heart of Networking Second Edition in January 2011. He frequently conducts seminars and speaks on the subject of his book, “successful networking through servant leadership and living the Golden Rule.”

Steele is also host of an internet radio show “Booth 61 with Ricky Steele” on Business RadioX. On air he interviews technology leaders and not for profit executives. The focus of the show is to build a more robust technology community. “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

Steele is a native of Atlanta and served as Director, Emerging Grown Technology Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was instrumental in helping PwC take the dominate position among the Big 5 within emerging growth companies. Mr. Steele has been profiled and cited in numerous local business publications and several national technology publications including The Wall Street Journal. The Atlanta Business Chronicle named Mr. Steele one of the “Who’s Who in Technology” during his employment at both PwC and Korn/Ferry International.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Steele received the Georgia Small Business Person of the Year Award in 1986. He was hired as a consultant by BETA, SSA, and WIT to study the various technology associations in Georgia which produced the original business plan for The Technology Association of Georgia.

Mr. Steele has had a passion for serving the needs of his community throughout his career. Steele was a Founder and the first Chairman for both Atlanta’s Table and Hospitality Helping Hands. Mr. Steele currently serves on The Carter Center Board of Councilors. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for Leadership Atlanta and The Ron Clark Academy. Mr. Steele is an Alumnus of Leadership Atlanta (1986) and Leadership Georgia (1987).

First Time or Newer to RUMC Job Networking? Don’t miss the “Orientation Fast Start Session”. Our Job Networking events offer a great deal of information that we know can overwhelm newcomers. We can help you understand what we have to offer and decide which events you’d like to try in our Orientation Fast Start Session at 5:00 p.m., Room B 233 – 237 – Dining Room.

Attire to Hire – Interview Ready Clothing 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. – If you have an interview and need one piece for an outfit or an entire outfit, be certain to stop by the “clothing store” located on the lower level of Building B. There is no cost involved. Come and see what we can do to help you look your best.

Dinner Program – Stay through the day for dinner, workshops and our dinner & evening keynote speaker, Ricky Steele. Seating begins at 5:15 p.m. with serving to start at 5:30 p.m. Our dinner program is focused on developing your spiritual resume so you are not conducting your search alone! A donation of $3.00 for the dinner is appreciated; however, for those who are unable to contribute, the meal is on us. Our buffet may close around 6:15 p.m. 

Our Last Meeting  Job Networking had  292 job seekers, employers, educators and volunteers participate in workshops, dinner & keynote speaker. We had 74 first time visitors to the program. Attire to Hire outfitted 14 job seekers. The evening ended with our keynote speaker, Eric West  giving job seekers the finer points of the job search that otherwise would have passed you by!
