Keynote Speaker 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Jane Gentry – “Are You Asking Questions”? Our evening keynote speaker has mastered the art in helping people learn the skill of asking questions and is applying it directly to your job search.
The Romans called it Gravitas. It is the ability to change the game by asking great questions, questions with depth. Jane will show you how to make yourself more interesting in an interview by asking questions that show that you have the kind of depth that would add value to any organization. She’ll also help you craft your Curious Introduction so that when you speak about yourself and what you do in any kind of networking situation, people keep wanting to hear more. There’s no fluffy magical formula, just concrete tools to build up your skills, pump up your confidence and get better results for your effort.
Jane Gentry is the founder of Epoch, Inc. – a training firm that teaches relationship-building and business development skills to sales teams nationwide. Jane teaches them how to build relationships, communicate clearly, hold themselves accountable, and think strategically. These are the same skills needed for a successful job search.
Jane’s clients include Assurant, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, First Data, Milliken & Co., Phillips Healthcare, Stryker Medical and Transamerica.
First Time or Newer to RUMC Job Networking? Don’t miss the “Orientation Fast Start Session”. Our Job Networking events offer a great deal of information that we know can overwhelm newcomers. We can help you understand what we have to offer and decide which events you’d like to try in our Orientation Fast Start Session at 5:00 p.m., Room B 233 – 237 – Dining Room.
Dinner Program – Stay through the day for dinner, workshops and our evening keynote speaker, Jane Gentry. Seating begins at 5:15 p.m. with serving to start at 5:30 p.m. Our dinner program is focused on developing your spiritual resume so you are not conducting your search alone! A donation of $3.00 for the dinner is appreciated; however, for those who are unable to contribute, the meal is on us. Our buffet may close around 6:15 p.m. so come early to hear our dinner speaker, Rusty Gordon.
Our Last Meeting – Job Networking had over 400 job seekers, employers, educators and volunteers participate in workshops, dinner & keynote speaker. We had 75 first time visitors to the program. Attire to Hire outfitted 29 job seekers. Our TAG/RUMC Job Networking Career Fair, which ran parallel to afternoon workshops, was a great success. Thanks to all TAG participants and volunteers who aided in ensuring the success of this event.
