Before the Service
- Be on time. Warm-up times is 8:15 a.m. for the 8:45 a.m. service. (On time means being robed and in your seat, ready to sing.) Continued tardiness on the part of an individual may result in that member being omitted from a performance.

- Check-in in the robing room, pick up bulletin and proper music.
- Ladies - leave purses in robing room (The room will be locked during the service).

- Watch the director for cues to move or sit.
During the Service
- After being seated, quietly open your folder, and prepare to sing the introit or hymn.
- Always use the hymnal slot on the chair to your right. If there is not a chair to the right (such as on corners or row ends), store under your seat.
- When seated, keep your music folder open in your lap, turned to the next music, until all music before the sermon has been sung. Then, close your folder.
- Remember that the choir is in full view of the congregation - especially those on the front row.
- When instructed to stand and sing the last hymn, open your music folder and retrieve your hymnal. Do not reach for the hymnal during the closing prayer.
After the Service
- Returnyour hymnal to the hymnal slots in the choir room.
- Check the board in the robing rooms for music to be returned.
- Hang robes neatly with the blue side of the stole out - being careful about makeup when taking off stoles and robes.
- Take off robes before having a cup of coffee.
Concerts
In order to be properly prepared for concerts, a member needs to attend more than 50% of the rehearsals during the eight weeks preceding the concert. It is suggested that a new member attend at least four of the final six rehearsals before singing in a concert. Attendance at fewer rehearsals may necessitate a proficiency check before participation in that concert is permitted.
- The procedures for parking and timely attendance for concerts are similar to those for Sunday services.
- Dress will be announced prior to the concert date, as will call times and concert times. It is essential that choir members be on time for concert calls. Continued tardiness on the part of the individual may result in that member being omitted from a performance.
- Choir members should attend sufficient rehearsals and listen to rehearsal tapes in order to be properly prepared for the music.
- Attendance at all rehearsals the week of the concert is required.
