RUMC Support Groups Offer Help, Encouragement RUMC’s support groups can offer support for those in need of encouragement during painful or challenging times. Statistics prove that those who attend support groups during life-changing experiences have an easier time adjusting and moving on. Support groups do not provide therapy or counseling, but rather provide an opportunity to gain insight, peace, and growth through life’s difficult situations. RUMC also offers 12-Step Support Groups through its Counseling Center.
HOW -- Seek Wellness Through ... Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's spirit lives in you? ... God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. (1 Cor. 3:16-17) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price (Christ). Therefore honor God with your body. (1 Cor. 6:19-20) The love of God...is the sovereign remedy of all miseries ... by the unspeakable joy, perfect serenity and tranquility it gives the mind...(John Wesley 1747) WHAT -- Wellness is ... ... our faith in God - born of repentance, prayer, and meditation For more information, contact the SERVE Team, 770.261.1767.
